Thursday, May 9: Double Presentation in Cava de’ Tirreni: In the morning at 11:45 AM, at the Auditorium of IIS “Della Corte-Vanvitelli” in Cava de’ Tirreni, and in the afternoon at 6:30 PM, at the Social Tennis Club, via Marcello Garzia 2
“Beyond the visible, beyond what we humans can see or believe, there is so much more. There are other Dimensions. Other places, ‘oniers.’ Other peoples. Some are advanced and respectful; unfortunately, there are also those who have not understood that the universe belongs to everyone. Naturverin is a wonderful place, a new ‘onier’ created not only from the love between two inhabitants of different origins but also founded on friendship and respect between two peoples.” This significant opening is from Eli Alves M.’s debut book, *Beyond the Visible: The Secret of Naturverin*, published by 1886 Publishing. The book will be presented in Cava de’ Tirreni on Thursday, May 9, in two stages: one for students and another for the public and press.
The first event will take place at 11:45 AM at the Auditorium of IIS “Della Corte-Vanvitelli” in Cava de’ Tirreni. Alongside the author, the event will feature Franca Masi, Principal of “Della Corte-Vanvitelli”; Giuliano Della Monica, a teacher at the same institution; Maria Alfano, Principal of IIS “De Filippis-Galdi”; and Piera Di Salvio from 1886 Publishing. The discussion will be moderated by Giuseppe De Caro, journalist for TGR Campania, with about 200 students from various Cava schools invited.
At 6:30 PM, the book will be presented at the Social Tennis Club, via Marcello Garzia 2, with journalist Carolina Milite moderating the speakers. Participating will be fantasy author Eli Alves M., Marco Salerno, Cultural Delegate at the Social Tennis Club, and Piera Di Salvio from 1886 Publishing.
Eli Alves M.’s debut work is the first volume of an engaging and immersive fantasy saga, starting with a realistic plot that uncovers the mysteries and wonders hidden within reality. Laura and Marta, two young friends from Marzamemi in Sicily, travel to Romania to study journalism. There, they meet a red-haired young man with a deep gaze, Tommaso, who harbors secret stories, as do other university colleagues they encounter. The discovery of the Hoia-Baciu Forest will propel the protagonists into an invisible world where passions, mysteries, and the surreal intertwine. At the heart of the fantasy are themes and values deeply rooted in everyday life: friendship, prejudice, love, passion, selfishness, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. Readers will be captivated by the unpredictability of the story, remaining on the edge of their seats. The book will be published in Italian, Portuguese, and English.
Eli Alves M. is a Brazilian teacher with a degree in Literature and a specialization in English grammar and linguistics from the University of Sant’Anna in São Paulo. After fifteen years of teaching in Brazil, she decided to move to Europe, where her professional life took a new direction. There, she embraced new challenges and opportunities, moving closer to the world of publishing. After nearly two decades of experience as a ghostwriter, a draft of her manuscript caught the attention of 1886 Publishing through a friend’s recommendation. The publishing company decided it was time for Eli to “step out of the shadows.” Thus, *The Secret of Naturverin*, the first volume of the fantasy saga *Beyond the Visible*, was born.
1886 Publishing is a young international publishing house founded by Alfonso Galdi, an Italian entrepreneur. Its mission is twofold: to promote Italian authors abroad and to introduce foreign writers to the Italian publishing market.
